Trickle-Down Crimefighting: Stimulus Helps Solve Cold Case

Who says stimulus doesn't work?

Police say they nabbed this man in a 22-year-old murder case... all thanks to a federal DNA grant.

Harold David Toney was a mechanic and part-time roofer working for, and living in a trailer on the property of, Hulon and Elaine Hughes - a couple found shot to death in their home in 1988. Although Toney was arrested after witness said he argued with Hulon Hughes and threatened to kill him, he was never charged with the murders... until now.

Police say the federal DNA grant helped them reexamine cold cases, and the trail led them back to Toney, according to KTLA.com.

To which I say ... Seriously??

What Monday Madness have you encountered today??
